The TSSAA has updated the scoreboard, schedules and rankings to show wins for schools whose opponents have canceled due to COVID-19.
The schools listed below scored a Week 10 win:
McKenzie High School (week 10)
Dresden High School (week 11)
If a school is forced to cancel a competition due to COVID-19 this football season, the game will be considered a “no competition” and the team will not suffer a loss on its schedule. The school that is able to play will receive a win for playoff standings. They can schedule a replacement opponent, but the result of the newly scheduled competition must count towards the school’s overall record in place of the “COVID-19” victory. A school’s regular season overall record cannot include more than 10 results.
Competitions where both teams were unable to play due to COVID-19 are considered “non-competitive” and have been removed from the schedules.
