The GeForce RTX 4090 may be the best graphics card in the upcoming RTX 4000 series, but the company has yet to reveal how much more powerful it is compared to Nvidia’s current flagship GPU, the RTX 3090. However, If new freshly released TimeSpy Extreme benchmark data is rumored to be believed that it could almost double the performance level of its predecessor.
In a Twitter post, a hardware leaker kopite7kimi, claims that the RTX 4090 is capable of scoring over “19,000” in the TimeSpy Extreme benchmark. However, they unfortunately didn’t provide any screenshots to prove it, so it’s best to take this news with some skepticism.
That’s almost double what a Founders Edition RTX 3090 is capable of, at around 10,000. While these results don’t necessarily indicate how well the RTX 4090 will perform when running the best PC games, they do tell us at least give a glimpse of the monstrosity of a GPU.
The RTX 4090 would no longer be delayed, so we should see it appear in October. However, AMD RDNA 3 graphics cards are also slated to launch later this year, and the new Radeon flagship could prove stiff competition for the Nvidia GPU.
