RBC Amateur Tournament Could Open Big Possibilities – SwiftCurrentOnline.com

Grab your clubs, this could be your chance in the big moments.

The RBC PGA Scramble will take place across Canada on August 1st. The tournament is an opportunity for amateur golfers to participate in the qualifiers and win a place in one of 12 regional finals across the country.

In Swift Current, the event will take place at Elmwood Golf Course, with the registry now open.

RBC PGA Scramble spokesperson Cole Crawford is inviting anyone who wants to play to come, as long as they are 19 or older.

“If interested, competitors will need to register by July 25,” Crawford said. “Prior to the event, all golfers will need a Golf Canada handicap and can register their team at rbcpgascramble.com.”

RBC Avion members will be able to get 50% off their team’s registration, and everyone who registers will be able to compete for prizes at the event.

Qualifying begins with a tee shot at 3:30 p.m. All teams will start and finish at the same time and should know where they stand in the standings by the end of the day.

The winners of the event can play in the regional finals at Legends Golf Course in Warman, Saskatchewan, just north of Saskatoon, on August 22.

There is also room for all women’s teams at these events, and women are encouraged to get out and enjoy the day of golf alongside the men.

In 2021, over 10,000 golfers traveled to over 150 different venues for the event, and 2022 looks to be just as popular, if not more so, thanks to the lifting of restrictions.
