“It was a successful aquatic carnival tournament with record crowds,” Post 15 head coach Phil Kirchner said. “Thank you to all the fans, parents, volunteers and teams for making this tournament a success.”
Post 15 opened with a pair of mercy rule wins, beating Hermantown 10-0 in six innings to open the tournament on Friday, July 16. Detroit Lakes played two on day one and finished Duluth 12-2 in five innings in a nightcap.
DL’s third win came on Saturday night in an Anoka 4-0 shutout and the tournament ended with an additional loss to Eastview 7-4.

Bradly Swiers pitched a full game in Game 1 by striking out six Hermantown hitters in six innings.
Jordan Tucker, Zack Oistad, Trevor Schnathorst, Blaine Henderson and Swiers all registered two hits apiece.
Detroit Lakes held a slim 3-2 lead after four innings over Duluth Lakeview, before a nine-point explosion in the fifth put the game on the sidelines.
Tucker had a two RBI single to score Schnathorst and Swiers to start the rally with one out.
Oistad passed Tucker at home for a 6-2 lead and scored from a right field error on a ball hit by Kyler Johnston.
DL ended the game scoring unearned runs from Johnston, Landon Mousseau, a two-run single from Hunter Korth to tackle Mason Omberg and Jake Bishop and the final game, a brace from Schnathorst to bring Korth home for the final 12-2.

Logan Lund threw 95 shots for the victory in five innings. He allowed just three hits. The two races were not deserved; he fanned a pair and walked two.
The 4-0 victory over Anoka was scoreless until the fifth inning.
DL used small bullet tactics to enter the scoreboard.
Schnathorst and Blaine Henderson moved into scoring position on second and third on a sacrifice bunt from Andrew Kulik.
Schnathorst scored on suicidal pressure from Swiers to the header.
Henderson was stellar on the mound, throwing a full game on a hit to thwart Anoka’s attack (12-13). He stoked six and did not allow a walk.
DL added three runs in the sixth on a triple from Tucker that scored Omberg and Grady Kirchner. Tucker added the final tally as he came home on a passed ball.
