Nuggets vs Trail Blazers live stream info, TV channel: how to watch NBA on TV, stream online

Through 3 quarters

The Denver Nuggets were heavy favorites here for a reason. Three quarters and their offense really managed to impose its will, dominating the Portland Trail Blazers 104-80 at three quarters.

Center Nikola Jokic has led the way so far for the Nuggets, as he has 20 points and seven assists along with eight rebounds and two blocks. A double-double would be the 10th in a row for Jokic.

Portland enjoyed the tag team combination of point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and shooter Ben McLemore. The former has 17 points and eight assists, while the latter has 18 points and four assists.

Portland have lost 85% of their games in which they were down in the fourth quarter. Barring a miraculous turnaround, this game will end the same way.

What there is to know

The Portland Trail Blazers have enjoyed the comforts of home for their last five games, but now they have to hit the road. They will face the Denver Nuggets at 10 p.m. ET Thursday at the Ball Arena after having had a few days off. The Trail Blazers should always ride high after a win, while Denver will look to right the ship.

Rip City didn’t have too much wiggle room in their game against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, but they still came away with a 114-108 victory. Among those leading the charge for Portland was power forward Robert Covington, who shot 5-for-7 from downtown and finished with 21 points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Denver was close but no cigar on Tuesday as they fell 87-85 to the Los Angeles Clippers. Denver led 41-28 at the end of the half but couldn’t hold the lead. Their loss should not overshadow the performances of power forward Aaron Gordon, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds, and center Nikola Jokic, who nearly scored a triple-double on 21 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. It’s been nine straight games in which Jokic has had at least ten rebounds.

Portland is the clear underdog, so they’re hoping the size of the fight will determine this one. Those betting on them ATS shouldn’t have high expectations of them as the team is 4-9 ATS when they should lose.

The Trail Blazers didn’t have too many problems with the Nuggets at home when the teams last met last November as they won 119-100. The rematch might be a bit tougher for Rip City since the team won’t have home advantage. We’ll see if the location change makes a difference.
