Monday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS Composition Tips for Week 9 Bears-Steelers Tournaments

A clash between the Steelers and the Bears instantly creates visions of a cold, rugged defensive battle. According to Las Vegas Sportsbook, Monday night soccer game in Week 9 will be just that. This contest’s total opened as low as 40 in some books, with the Steelers hitting 6.5 points. The Bears’ David Montgomery (knee) is expected to return for this contest, knocking Khalil Herbert out of consideration for our DraftKings Showdown roster and turning that backfield into a murky DFS situation to sail for at least a week.

Here are the main scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: PPR full point and there is Three-point bonus for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. Choosing the captain costs 1.5 times a player’s original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Pick: Bears vs Steelers

Budget of $ 50,000, need at least one player from each team.

Captain (1.5x value, 1.5x points): RB Najee Harris, Steelers ($ 18,600)

We’re prepared to pay the outrageous price of Harris because his 48.8 percent contact share eclipses that of anyone else on the pitch Monday night. He has scored at least 21.0 DraftKings points in five straight games and will receive the bulk to add another game to that streak.

FLEX: WR Chase Claypool, Steelers, ($ 9,000)

Claypool hasn’t been as dominant as many expected in the wake of JuJu Smith-Schuster’s shoulder injury, but sometimes it can take a while to get a bigger role. It was nice to see Claypool’s two runs in the last game, an indication that the Steelers are ready to use him creatively. Claypool has not been consistent but has delivered some big performances including 27.0 DK points in week 5. He is capable of making plays that could produce another big score.

FLEX: TE Pat Freiermuth, Steelers ($ 7,000)

Freiermuth has seen seven targets in each of the Steelers’ last two games, and he’s scored 12.8 and 14.4 DK points in those games, respectively. Eric Ebron (hamstring) is out for this week’s game, putting Freiermuth in position to receive another healthy target share. The opportunity is there for Freiermuth to achieve a third consecutive outing which is worth it.

FLEX: WR Darnell Mooney, Bear ($ 6,400)

The Bears offense doesn’t present a plethora of attractive options. Mooney has been Chicago’s leading wide receiver this season, scoring 53 team-leading targets. His average of 12.4 yards per catch isn’t spectacular, but he’s racking up 62.3% of his chances. He’s scored double-digit DK points in four games this season and is most likely to make a profitable fantasy contribution.

FLEX: Steelers D / ST ($ 5,000)

We need a few value choices to fill this list in order to name Harris our captain, and the Pittsburgh defense / special teams is one of those pieces. Chicago has a number of offensive loopholes that the Steelers should be able to exploit. Chicago is DVOA offense # 30. They committed the fifth highest number of turnovers (11); and they drop the most sacks per game in the NFL. The Steelers smothered the Browns and scored 10.0 DK points last week, and more are expected to be achievable on Monday night.

FLEX: K Chris Boswell, Steelers ($ 3,800)

Boswell is the second strong pick we rely on this week, and while a kicker’s lineup in these contests might seem disgusting, it’s not like there are much superior options available. Boswell is expected to be back this week after fully training on Friday. He’s scored 11.0 or more DK points three times, and if Chicago’s defense escalates, Boswell could be called up frequently.
