Minecraft is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on November 2

Xbox Game Pass, the subscription service that keeps giving. In addition to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition coming to Game Pass next month, subscribers can also look forward to Minecraft on PC.

Now Minecraft has been available for what seems like an eternity, but if for some reason you managed to avoid it, you have no excuse now. It’s the ultimate sandbox video game. There’s a reason it’s the best-selling video game of all time.

Minecraft has come a long way since its inception as a simple sandbox exploration game. There are now multiple game modes, customization that makes almost anything possible, and multiplayer support.

The Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft will be available on Xbox Game Pass. If you are confused, the Java edition is only for PC which means there is no cross play with the console. However, it is much more flexible in terms of gameplay as you can download any skin online or even make your own and you have access to all the mods created by the community which means almost endless gameplay experiences. Again, the only downside is that you can’t play with people on other platforms, so if you don’t mind playing on PC, Java Edition might be the way to go.

That being said, the Bedrock Edition is the one for you if you want to enjoy cross play with PC, console, and mobile. Unlike Java, which allows you to download skins online, the Bedrock version relies on the Marketplace where you have to purchase add-ons or skin packs. The Bedrock Edition is also said to work easier than the Java Edition because it does not require powerful computers or devices. It also supports motion controllers or touch controls on mobile.

The good news is, you aren’t stuck with just one version. You can switch between editions right from the Unified Minecraft launcher.
