Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Director Confirms Each Game Will Include Important Feature During Tokyo Game Show

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection brings the entire Battle Network series to PC, PS4, and Switch, and also adds online functionality to every game in the series. Capcom announced this collection during a Mini Direct this summer. It includes all games in the Battle Network series: Battle Network, Battle Network 2, Battle Network 3 Blue and White, Battle Network 4 Blue Moon and Red Sun, Battle Network 5 Team Colonel and Team Protoman, and Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar and Fazar. .

A few features, such as a visual graphics suite and a music mode, were announced at the time of the announcement, but there hasn’t been much news since then. Game Director Masakazu Eguchi joined the Tokyo Game Show stage to discuss the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.

It was a brief announcement that every game in the Mega Man Battle Network series will feature online play. This means that in each game, users will be able to participate in online battles and token exchanges. Previous games required link cables between Game Boy Advance handhelds to participate, which are now obviously obsolete. Considering that the most recent games in the series, Cybeast Gregar and Falzar, were released in 2005, this series comes about 18 years after the conclusion of the last game.

Mr. Future claims that Capcom is currently working on this feature online, which means it will be available before the game’s release date. Fans will no longer be separated, which bodes well for the release of the collection.
However, there is still a lot to learn, and by 2023 there is still plenty of time. Unsure of when the collection will be released in 2023, Mr. Future also promised that Capcom would provide additional information on the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection during a future presentation.

But there is still a lot to learn and 2023 is still a long way off. It’s unclear when the collection will be released in 2023, but Mr. Future also said that Capcom will talk more about the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection in the future performance.
