PC gamers favored free-to-play games like Apex Legends and Fortnite because they can avoid the hefty costs of buying a AAA+ title. Therefore, you can imagine the excitement that has been created for MultiVersus.

For anyone who hasn’t heard of MultiVersus, it’s an upcoming 2D platformer set to directly compete with Super Smash Bros and Lego Brawlers. However, there is a significant difference between these games. Why might you ask? Because Warner Brothers MultiVersus product.

Characters from Warner Brother’s collection of TV shows and movies will be introduced in MultiVersus. We have already seen characters like Shaggy, Batman, and the Iron Giant from various gameplay footage that has been shown. But you can bet hundreds of characters will be available over the lifetime of this game.

Those who wish to play MultiVersus on PC will have no challenge, as Player First Games has confirmed that its next free-to-play title will be available via Steam. You can download MultiVersus when it launches in its beta phase on Steam in July 2022.

When is MultiVersus coming to PC?

Unfortunately, no official launch date has been provided for the full version of MultiVersus. We learned that everyone can download the MultiVersus beta next July. This is considered an open beta, which means no registration is required. You will have to wait until Warner Brothers has launched this game. However, this availability date has not yet been communicated.

It should be noted that whenever MultiVersus launches after beta testing, there will be bundled versions for consumers to purchase. These bundles will include various microtransactions and downloadable content for players to use. However, Player First Games has not detailed any of their potential bundles for MultiVersus.

Player First Games did not detail what exclusive features MultiVersus might have during its beta testing phase. However, there are features that we can incorporate into our experience with MultiVersus. For example, Xbox Cloud Storage can back up your achievements and matchmaking history through an online network.

Additionally, MultiVersus should allow everyone to create custom layouts for their keyboards and mice. But it doesn’t matter if this feature is supported, because many programs allow PCs to replace the gamepad mechanics of any title, including MultiVersus.

It is suspected that we will also see the following features integrated into MultiVersus:

  • High resolution textures
  • Editing Setups
  • Ray-traced lighting

Unfortunately, these features have not been confirmed by Player First Games or Warner Brothers. But it’s almost guaranteed, given that modern titles will traditionally support high resolution textures and modding setups, like GTA5 or Just Cause 4. These games wouldn’t have become famous without the inclusion of modding, which means MultiVersus could lose a huge community by banning all mods.

Game trailer

Warner Brothers has released two trailers for MultiVersus. These include the gameplay and the cinematic trailer, both of which provided a clear picture of what everyone can expect from this upcoming platformer.
