The 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs begin on October 5 with the AL Wild Card game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, followed by the NL Wild Card game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dodgers. in Los Angeles on October 6.

MLB playoff games are broadcast nationally by Fox Sports 1, Fox, ESPN, TBS, and MLB Network, with different games set for different stations. You will need to subscribe to a cable provider or live TV streaming service like YouTube TV, Sling TV, or DirecTV Stream to watch them all.

ESPN will broadcast the AL Wild Card game live from Boston at 8:08 p.m. ET on October 5; the knockout winner will then face the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS. If you have ESPN cable, you can use your TV provider to connect and stream the game from or with the ESPN app. The game is not included with ESPN +.

The NL Wild Card game between the Cardinals and Dodgers airs on TBS at 8:10 p.m. ET on October 6. TBS also allows cable subscribers to connect with their TV provider to stream through or the TBS app.

MLB Wildcard Calendar

The MLB wild card matches will take place on October 5 and 6. The League Division Series will then take place from October 7 to 14, followed by the League Champion Series from October 15 to 24. The World Series will begin on October 26.

Where to watch MLB playoff broadcasts

MLB playoff games are spread across channels such as TBS, MLB Network, ESPN, FS1, and Fox. The World Series will be broadcast only on Fox. If you don’t have cable, you can stream these stations with a subscription to a live TV streaming service.

DirectTV Stream

This combo will allow you to get Fox, FS1, ESPN, TBS, and MLB Network for $ 65 per month. Please note that Fox only broadcasts to certain markets, primarily major US cities, through Sling TV.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live offers several channels with MLB games including ESPN, Fox, FS1, and TBS. The service costs $ 65 / month ($ 55 / month for the first three months) and includes access to

the entire library on demand. That said, Hulu + Live TV misses the MLB network.

Fubo TV

Fubo TV also has a package that will provide you with most of the channels you need for MLB national games.
