If you’re still struggling to complete your first Elden Ring playthrough, look away now. A speedrunner managed to blast through the game in less than an hour – without using any glitches.
Only one speedrunner has achieved the feat so far – a fan by the name of KEMIST_C10_H15N online. Securing the world record with his time of 59:41 is a huge leap from the previous best of 1:00:02, which was already incredible.
As you can see in the series below, KEMIST makes quick work of all the bosses that many of us have been tearing our hair out over. The runner is able to carve his way through the Lands Between as if nothing had happened, having clearly memorized the best route, and proving that speedrunners have a fearsome talent when they practice a category over and over again.
As the title suggests, this is the first time an Any% Glitchless recording has gone below an hour. This shows that the Elden Ring speedrunning community is still thriving months after its launch and is still able to amaze its fans with ridiculously impressive times. With such dramatic time savings achieved so recently, there is likely to be much more to discover in this category.
Of course, anyone familiar with the Elden Ring speedrun will know that there are moments in other categories that are just as amazing as this one. When glitches are used in races, times can be reduced to ridiculous levels. The Any% No Restrictions record is a staggering three minutes 56 seconds. The regular Any% category, which puts some restrictions in place, is still only 20 minutes and 13 seconds.
If you’re feeling brave enough to try your hand at speedrunning Elden Ring, you can grab the FromSoft hit on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
