Elden Ring enemy randomization mod released and can work in co-op

Of all the great Elden Ring mods coming to FromSoftware’s RPG game, the Elden Ring enemy randomizer mod is probably the most terrifying. In April, it was confirmed to be in the works, and now it’s finally here – and it looks like it’s working in co-op too.

There are many fantastic game randomization mods on PC, but those for Dark Souls type games are the most intense. Modder Matt ‘thefifthmatt’ Gruen previously released an Elden Ring item randomization mod but promised that a combo mod that randomized both items and enemies was in the works.

Well it is now available and can be downloaded at Nexus Mods. If you downloaded the randomiser item, it is an update for this same mod. The mod randomizes “items found in the world, shop items, enemy and boss drops, and character starting loadouts”, though all of this can be customized through a simple options box – so if you want the mod to replace every enemy in the game with the hardest Elden Ring boss, you can do that (see below).

Matt describes the mod as “fully functional” but expects it to get “lots more fixes and features” in future updates. A player on the Nexus forum confirms that the randomizer works with the recently released Seamless Co-op mod, so if you’re looking for a particularly chaotic challenge to take on with your friends, this might be the way to go.

For more Elden Ring modding adventures, there are some great Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Legend of Zelda mods available, not to mention Elden Ring VR – if you dare to undertake such a thing.
