Button City will arrive on PC and consoles on August 10

Subliminal Gaming and WINGS Interactive revealed this week that City button will finally arrive on consoles and PC on August 10. This one grabbed our attention for a while because it’s a fun and colorful storytelling adventure focused on friendship and community. Which sounds super obvious, but if you think about it, how many games are really all about supporting each other and having a good time doing it? Yes, there is competition here, but for the most part it’s a pretty cool game. If you dig it, you can currently get The Yetee t-shirts, enamel pins, and stickers right now, and they’ve released a track from the game on the Slice of Life: Songs from Wholesome Games album.

Meet Fennel, a young fox and the new kit in town. After arriving in the charming town of Button with his mother, Fennel begins to explore his new home, especially the local arcade frequented by the town’s welcoming young anthropomorphs. Help Fennel join the Fluff Squad, a team of kids who love arcade, as they spend a memorable week taking on rival teams while making plans to save their beloved lair from Peppermint Pepperbottom, a fat cat greedy who puts profits before people.

Embark on a storytelling experience following Fennel’s journey from shy fox to arcade genius as the Fluff Squad struggles to keep the lights on in Button City’s only arcade. Take part in Gobabots, a 4v4 action game that rewards the best team with a spectacular prize. Make the most of your time in the city playing arcade mini-games including rhythm and racing titles. Solve puzzles for locals and forge lasting friendships, collecting cute new outfits along the way. City button features a vibrant low-poly aesthetic, quirky characters, and a whimsical atmosphere to enjoy alongside puzzles and quests that talk about the timeless experiences of growing up and fighting for what’s important.
