Bethesda retires its PC games launcher and will migrate to Steam

Update (Friday 15th April 2022 17:00 BST): The date has been set and the migration of the launcher from Bethesda to Steam will begin later this month on April 27th. You will even receive rewards in some games:


Original article (Wed 23 February 2022 06:00 GMT): Starfield and old scrolls Developer Bethesda has announced that it will be retiring its “Bethesda.net” launcher on PC later this year.

Starting in early April, users will be able to migrate their games and any existing digital currency to Steam. And for games that require it, users will still need to use their Bethesda.net ID to log in and play.

In the same announcement, Bethesda also clarified how these accounts would continue to be accessible on the Bethesda website, in-game, and would continue to be supported in future titles.
