The tournament was organized with the aim of raising funds to support the cardiothoracic center project undertaken by the Ho University Hospital.

The “save a heart, save a life” project was launched a few months ago by the Ho University Hospital to raise funds for patients with heart disease, endow the center with millions of dollars and enable lives. heart to be saved.

Ho Tennis Club president Dr Eyram Bansah noted in his opening speech that this was the first time the tournament has been used to support such an initiative and pledged that the club will continue to support the center.

Ho University Hospital public relations manager Amos Dzah said heart problems continue to be the leading cause of death, hence the urgent need to fully equip the cardio center so that it can be fully equipped. ‘it is operational.

He added that it would help locals as they would not have to be referred to Accra for health care.

Mr. Amos Dzah noted that the deplorable nature of the roads leading to the hospital is also a major issue to be addressed when it comes to referring patients to Korle Bu University Hospital.

“Having such a center in the Volta region would help save lives in the Volta and Oti regions and even beyond,” Dzah said.

A mid-game fundraiser allowed players, fans and other stakeholders to donate and pledge to support projects aimed at making the Center the second-largest cardiovascular treatment center in the country.
